Chemical Formulas

What you should learn:

In this unit we will review ionic and covalent bonding which includes the difference between the types of bonding, writing structure formulas (lewis structures and electron dot diagrams), naming, and determining empirical and molecular formulas from experimental data. Additionally, you will be introduced to organic nomenclature and structures.

TOK: Assigning numbers to the masses of the chemical elements allowed chemistry to develop into a physical science and use mathematics to express relationships between reactants and products.
