Making lists...packing lists, books lists, to do lists...
I was born in Michigan but mostly grew up on the west coast in Washington State, in a small town known for strawberries, smoked salmon, and timber. I have two younger brothers and a younger sister. All still live on the west coast! When I was in high school, I enjoyed science and in college found that I could make a big difference in people's lives through chemistry. I tried industry work and research but found myself often working alone and wanting, instead, to work with lots of people doing something meaningful. So here I am-- working with lots of people everyday. I love it! And so far, I love being at George Mason!
I love to read! Here are some books I recommend:
Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck
Brave New World by Aldous Huxley
The Color Purple by Alice Walker
The Awakening by Kate Chopin
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen (actually, all of her books!)
In the Woodsby Tana French
Atom by Isaac Asim
The Omnivore's Dilemma by Michael Pollan
Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery
Guns, Germs and Steel and Collapse by Jared Diamond
and other Lord Peter Whimsey Mysteries by Dorothy Sayers
